Winners!

The answer- The Florida Keys

Winners!! Racheal Earl (a $25 iTunes card) and Jessica Fiumara – a ($15 iTunes card) !!

Honorable mention to Katie Beverly, so close!! I liked the cloud guesses too!

Here’s the explanation!

They don’t unlock but kiss the sea, (The original line was They don’t unlock but you will see – too hard!)

5 clusters there are for thousands of these. (The 5 clusters are Key West, Big Pine Key and the Lower Keys, Islamorada, Marathon, and Key Largo. According to the source of all knowledge- Wikipedia- the Florida Keys are “a chain-like cluster of about 1700 hundred islands”)

In more ways than one they lay down low, (The definition of key, from the Spansh “Cayo” means a low-lying island or reef. Key West is also the southern most city in the United States.)

And all that sinks will tend to grow. (Many shipwrecks, including ships that were sunk on purpose have now grown into reefs.)

So what’s all this key talk about? I’ll tell you soon!

Thanks for playing!

Kelli - Congrats Rachael and Jessica!!

Rachael Earl - Woohoo! I didn’t know all that stuff about them-LOL-just that there were a couple thousand islands

Brandi - OMG Chelo.. you’re having quints?? :)

Updated: A riddle for you.

HINT: Totally not a seed. Try again y’all!

I’ve also changed the riddle to give you more of a clue.

{p.s. dreamy photo. Like a teaser pic of Narnia =)}

Jen Creed - Didn’t want to guess in case I sounded dumb lol but since there’s only one other guess….only thing I can think of is seeds?

Zak - I want to say acorns.

Kelli - Seeds.

robin cornett - I think it’s seeds, too, but I feel like you want a particular kind of seed with the clusters of five. Do acorns cluster in fives? That’s probably my guess. I know it’s not maple seeds because they do the fun helicopter thing. I’ll line up behind Zak with acorns.

OHAHA PHOTOGRAPHERS - baffling. acorns comes to mind, but only because they are spread so many different ways hence “In more ways than one they lay down low,” but the clusters thing has boggled my mind. thanks chelo. my brain hurts now ;)

kate willet - cotton seeds

Jessica Fiumara - The only thing I can think of is roots…

Vanessa - Acorns are hat comes to mind for me too….

Lauren - mussels?

Kristen McCann - clams… mussels… pearls…oysters…

Katie Beverley - Coral?

Katie Beverley - Coral in the Key West Coral Reef?? haha! I am probably sounding like a dorkkkk!

Brandi - My guess is clouds.. :) I will be happy to explain why I guessed this.. if I am wrong, oh well, it fits the whole riddle.

Rachael Earl - The Florida Keys?

Jessica Fiumara - ok i’m with rachael. the florida keys sounds right.

jameel - roots.

Carline - Either cranberries or sea grapes….this riddle is a good one and pretty hard. I was also thinking caviar or sea urchin. Last one is clouds..

Millie - I know you said it isnt a seed, but is it olives? I dont know if those count as seeds…

Matteo
